At some point in June, I decided that cross-posting to both blogs was a pain. (I was constantly forgetting and then posting days later.) My neighborhood here is mostly populated with people who also read my LJ, and that is my primary blogging platform/community. Until 6A gets around to adding an option to cross-post to VOX automatically from LJ (the other way around is possible, but it just doesn't work for me), my posts here will be spare.

I should update this to say that I got married on August 25, and I went on honeymoon to Hawaii (Kauai and the Big Island) shortly afterward. Otherwise, nothing of note has happened anyway!

Burying the lede

We had a nice weekend. Next weekend, "the game" (City of Heroes/Villains) is having a "double XP" weekend, which means it's a good time to play the game and level up characters. It also means that I may play the game more than usual next weekend. So this weekend was geared toward doing stuff that Elizabeth wanted to do.

On Saturday, we bought a magazine rack and this really cool framed old print (which I need to photograph and post), wandered around Pioneer Square, and had sushi at our favorite place, Mashiko. We got out of there pretty early, but we were thwarted in attempts to go see a movie or go glow-bowling, so we rented a movie and stayed in.

On Sunday, I made breakfast, and we did some much-needed cleaning/organizing in our front bedroom (the hope is to turn it into a guest bedroom-slash-crafting room (for Elizabeth). We also saw Children of Men, which I liked quite a bit. I don't think Elizabeth was quite as happy about it (it was quite violent and sort of needed more something with the plot). After that, we did some more sorting.

Today, I asked Elizabeth to marry me and she said yes.
